I received an email today from the homeschool group that we are a part of and we are helping out the Crawford family who lost everything in the recent flood. You may have seen them on the news. Their trailer was swept away in the raging flood waters. They also lost their two year old son, Slade, as they were fighting for their lives.
Our group is collecting items for this family and if you would be interested in helping out, we are collecting these items between now and this Wednesday. Here are some ideas of their needs.....
*toiletry items
*cleaning items
*blankets/bedding
*pillows
*gift cards to Walmart, Target, & grocery stores
*clothes sizes for the Family...
Dad -pants(42x31)
shoes(101/2 or 11)
shirts(2x/3x)
Mom -pants(jr.11)
shoes(6)
shirts(med/lg)
*13 month old boy items (clothes, toys, etc.)
Another suggestion that was mentioned: A card letting them know that they are in your prayers and that you are thinking of them.
This family needs everything. If there is something that you would like to donate that is not listed above, please donate it.
We are meeting this Wednesday, September 30th from 2-4 so I will be glad to come pick up anything you have that you would be willing to donate or if you prefer, you can drop off the items at Heritage Baptist Church (off of Hwy. 92) between 10-12 on Wednesday. If you have any questions or want to donate anything to them and want to coordinate when I can come pick up the item(s), either leave me a comment or email me at kristen.garrett@comcast.net
Thanks for keeping this family and so many others who experienced devastating losses due to these floods in your prayers.
