The Maxey Family

We have been very busy lately and on top of getting ready for my sister's wedding, Grant came down with the swine flu the day after his birthday party and Landon and Peyton are getting over ear infections. This weekend is very busy as Grant and Peyton both have a soccer game on Saturday morning and then we have my sister's wedding. I'll try to update some time next week when we regroup.

For now, I just want you all to pray for the Maxey family. You might remember a few weeks back that I posted a prayer request for them. Last night their 11 month old daughter, Annette, passed away after fighting a rare and aggressive cancer that she was diagnosed with when she was 2 months old. This family loss their first daughter to this same kind of cancer. They have a 3 year old boy, Grant. I just can't fathom what they are going through but if you've read their website at all, you know they have remained strong throughout this journey and they haven't lost the faith. In fact, on their last post, Natalie (the mom) described Annette passing from her big brother's dinosaur nest (Grant loves dinosaurs and he built this out of blankets for her to sleep in) to her big sister's waiting arms. Then, she went on to thank God for the blessing of her peace and comfort as she left this Earth. They truly are an inspiration and they need our prayers as they deal with this devastating loss.
