This quote should encourage us all that whether it is our spouse or children, we need to encourage them to be confident in the abilities and gifts God has uniquely given each one of them and pursue the dreams and interests God has put in their hearts. Then, we will all be successful in our own way. What looks like success to one may not look like success to another and that is okay because God has wired us all uniquely and we each serve a DIFFERENT purpose. As long as we are each seeking God and doing our best to use ALL that God has given us to make a difference in this world thus bringing glory to God, then we are all successful but in different ways! It should make us all feel good that we are all genius according to Einstein. :) The key is we don't need to try to do or be something we are not-just like the fish is not meant to climb a tree. :) What should make us feel even better, is that we were ALL created in the image of Christ and we are a child of the King IF we have accepted His FREE gift of salvation. Doesn't get much better than that!
With our children, we have such a limited window of opportunity to truly mold them. That is a HUGE responsibility. God created them each with a unique purpose in mind and our job as parents is to help them DISCOVER who God created them to be by helping them be confident yet humble in their gifts, passions, and abilities and then encourage them DAILY with how wonderful they are in these areas along with providing them opportunities and experiences to strengthen these gifts and passions. The discovery process is a fun one because it allows you to provide all kinds of experiences with playing, dreaming or imagining the impossible, hands-on activities, exploring their curiosity, fun family outings or field trips, games, music exploration, art fun, athletics, and the list goes on. Taking the time to enjoy the "discovery" and learn more about your kids is one of my favorite parts of being a parent.
All of these things build confidence in our children and I think this next quote ties right into that and why it is important to focus the time we have now to make a difference...

Just a thought for the day to encourage you as we all do the best we can each day to love and support our husbands and children.
