A Crazy Day

After the three great things that happened on Wednesday, we had another good day but boy was it a crazy one. I don't mind busy or craziness but having to be ready on a moments notice to leave the house is where craziness takes on a whole new meaning. Here was my day in a nutshell....

9:15 Drop the boys off at school

Then, head to Landon's doctor's appointment at 9:40 because he was up all night sick which I suspected was another ear infection.
Unfortunately, what happens with us whenever there is something good that happens like the 3 encouraging things from yesterday, something comes out of nowhere that makes things "interesting." Landon went to bed fine and then woke up around 11 p.m. on Wednesday night and had trouble sleeping throughout the night which is not like him.

10:15 Leave from Landon's appointment to find out he has a double ear infection and will be needing tubes put in.

10:35 Drop off his prescriptions and they can't fill it before I have to be back at the boys' school for a Mother's Day program. Grant and Peyton have been so excited and telling me about this for a week so there is no way that I can be even a second late to this event.

10:45 Walk in the door and feed Landon quickly and fly out the door to head back to the boys' school. On the way, I call my mom to see if she can pick up Landon's RX and deliver it to Vince since he couldn't go back out because Landon doesn't have a car seat in his car and Landon was really needing a nap.

11:10 Make it to the program with 5 minutes to spare.

1:00 I had a great time in the boys' classes and they were so proud to give me their handmade gifts. My favorite kind of gift! At this point, I'm feeling good and calm after all the morning rush and I get in the car to come home with the boys and hear a message that was left at 11:30 on my cell from an agent wanting to show our house TODAY but she doesn't tell me when. I fly home because I'm thinking she could show up at any minute since she had called at 11:30 that morning and I wanted to make sure our house didn't look like we have any children that live here. :)

5 minutes after walking in the door with the boys the agent calls and she is driving by our house and Landon is still taking a great nap. Since she knew it would take a little time to get out with needing to wake Landon, she decided to go over to another nearby subdivision and we wake Landon and head out the door.

We get out the door and I have to feed Landon in the car and then we head to the allergist for Grant's allergy shots! This had all taken place by 2 p.m.

While I am so glad we are getting activity on the house, having to wake a sick child and postpone a much needed nap for a 3 year old along with being ready at a moment's notice to pack up everyone is unfortunately a necessary evil. I feel like we almost have to be dressed in our clothes for the next day when we go to bed and everyone needs to sleep on top of the comforters so that when the phone rings, we pack up and head out. Again, I know it is that necessary evil for our situation and we need our house to sell so we can't complain. I'm trying to look at this as an extra spice to our life. As if we needed extra spice? :) I'm trying to enjoy having what looks like a Chinese fire drill take place in our home when we got those two calls and have to be out within minutes. If only we had an extra hand to video this, we could probably win something or be a candidate for some type of reality t.v. show. :)
