A Bond Amongst Brothers

This week Grant is attending VBS and he is having a great time! It has also allowed me to have some quality time with both Peyton and Landon. Today, I took them to Monkey Joe's because we have a gift certificate for 5 visits. It was Landon's first time to actually get in the inflatables and crawl around because we had most of them to ourselves. On one of the jumpies, Peyton got in and prepared the way for Landon by telling the other kids that Landon was coming in and to be careful because he was a baby. Peyton's joy was so evident when Landon was able to do the inflatables with him. If Landon wasn't with him, Peyton just wanted to be where he was. He spent most of his time doing the toddler inflatables since these were the only ones that were good for Landon to bounce and crawl around in. It just filled my heart seeing Peyton pushing Landon's stroller around and telling the other kids to be careful because Landon was coming.

Both Grant and Peyton have such a unique bond with Landon and it truly melts my heart to see them caring for him and always loving on him. One of the first things they do when they get up is want to know where Landon is and give him a hug. On Monday, Landon had to get some immunizations and Peyton very nicely grilled the nurse with exactly what she was going to do to Landon. As soon as Landon's shots were over, he got out of his chair and came over to Landon and kissed him and started talking to him while rubbing on the spot where he got his shots. I just melted and my eyes just filled with tears of joy. Such sweet moments! I know it may not always be this way but seeing the love they have for one another is something I cherish and love to savor.
