Magic "Letters"
Peyton uses his magic wand to make letters appear. I call out a letter and he must find it but it really comes alive for him when he gets to pretend he is magically making the letters appear.
Making a lion mask
The next day, the boys created a puppet show using their lion masks. Grant even drew some pictures for the scenery.
L Activities:
Lively Lines
We took pipe cleaners and both Grant and Peyton created art making different lines using the pipe cleaners and putting it into styrofoam.
Making lollipops
We also created a "love" book. The boys drew pictures of everyone and everything they love. We focused on the L during Valentine's week and made heart pancakes for breakfast and decorated the kitchen for Valentine's day with "love" notes.
M Activities:
Both Grant and Peyton got to pretend to be a mummy. We read some stories about mummies and watched a Reading Rainbow episode that featured mummies. Reading Rainbow was back in my day. I loved seeing this in school and was so excited to see you could still find them at the library.
Monster Cookies
Our "M" Mural
The boys were allowed to draw a mural of whatever they wanted and then we made one with things that started with "m"
Monkey Magnets
We can't forget Landon because he is right there having fun alonside us too. Here Landon is enjoying some puzzle book fun in school.
Milk Market Math
The boys had to look through the refrigerator and find items that have milk in them or were made using milk. We put these items on the counter and then they estimated how much they thought they would cost in the grocery store. Then, we compared it to the actual cost.
Next, we pulled out the items for their lunch and priced them. They were given $7 for their lunch and they had to fix their lunch spending no more than $7.

The way you had them price their lunch and checkout is absolutely the cutest!!!! :) And those were some great activities! LOVE it! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a great job with the boys schooling. I love following them on your blog.
